Why Problem Solving Matters, and Why I’m Teaching It

Tired of firefighting the same work problems? This hands-on workshop gives your team the tools and confidence to solve issues effectively and build long-term solutions.

There’s a difference between knowing something works and knowing it matters.

This Practical Problem Solving Workshop is both.

I’ve spent years working across various sectors: EV charging, sustainability, the NHS, education, telecoms, parking technology, building management systems, and manufacturing, supporting teams and organisations to make things work better. Not just on paper, but in practice.

And through all of it, one thing has stayed consistent:

The people doing the work want to make things better.
They just haven’t been given the tools to do it clearly, confidently, and collaboratively.

That’s why I’ve designed this workshop.

And yes, I’ll be the one delivering it.

Because this isn’t just another course.

It’s me sharing everything I know (well not quite, as I could talk about the subject for days, but respect your diary). This is the very best of what works, distilled, practical, and ready to use, designed to help you do your job better and help your organisation thrive.

The Problem with Problems

We all face problems at work. But let’s be honest, most organisations are still firefighting.

The same issues show up over and over. Teams fix the symptom, not the cause.

Handovers are messy. Dashboards are unclear. Supplier relationships are strained. Customers are frustrated. Staff are tired.

And often, the people closest to these problems feel stuck. They know something isn’t working, but they don’t have the time or structure to fix it properly.

But here’s the thing: this isn’t just about your customer at the end of the line.
This is about your business, your people, and your internal processes.

Because how you manage your business directly affects what your customer receives.

As the saying goes: if you put rubbish in, you get rubbish out.

And when internal gaps, delays, or confusion exist, it’s the customer, the patient, the resident, the driver, who feels it.

That’s where this workshop comes in.

This Is for the People Who Are Already Trying

This isn’t just for Charge Point Operators.

It’s for anyone working in fast-paced, evolving sectors like:

• Decarbonisation

• Sustainability

• Energy

• Fleet, Transport and Telematics

• Net Zero-aligned industries

These are sectors where the pressure is high, expectations are growing, and teams are doing their best, often with limited support or systems.

This workshop gives people across different roles the space, structure and tools to:

• Reduce repeat issues through feedback and insight

• Improve first-time resolution rates

• Strengthen communication across internal teams and external suppliers

• Translate technical improvements into customer confidence

• Align operations with strategic goals

• And link data to action, clearly and meaningfully

So, Who’s It For?

• Customer support teams overwhelmed by recurring problems

• Operations and site managers who want consistency without firefighting

• Procurement and supplier leads struggling with handovers and performance

• Comms and CX teams translating complexity into clarity

• Data and product teams sitting on dashboards without direction

• Leaders trying to scale without sacrificing quality or customer trust

In short:

It’s for the people who want to do a good job, and just need the tools to make it happen.

Why I’m Running It

Because I believe in it.

I wouldn’t be offering this if I didn’t know it works.

If I didn’t think it could genuinely improve the way people feel about their work, and the results they achieve.

I’ve spent over a decade refining this.
I’ve seen how it shifts thinking, how it unblocks teams, how it brings clarity and progress.

I’ve seen the spark return when people realise they can fix something that’s been bothering them for months, or years.

And I believe if I don’t share that knowledge now, when it’s needed more than ever…

What would be the point?

This isn’t about theory. It’s about giving people practical ways to think, communicate, collaborate, and improvement.

What You’ll Get

• A practical, interactive session with real examples, no jargon, no fluff

• Tried-and-tested tools to apply immediately in your day-to-day work

• Clarity on how to solve issues across functions, whether that’s support, operations, data or strategy

• Support to build a stronger internal culture of ownership and improvement
